Beyonce Honored for Charity Work + She Storms Through Bermuda

While her hubby, Jay Z, was honored by the U.N, this week, Beyonce was honored by the Miami Children’s Hospital at the 2008 Diamond Ball And Private Concert. The gala took place this Saturday (10/4) at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. The R&B star and actress was inducted into the International Pediatric Hall of Fame in recognition for her hard work and charitable contributions.
Tables at the glitzy event cost $10,000.



On Thursday (Oct 2) Beyonce weathered tropical rain storms and performed over two hours of her greatest hits at the National Sports Centre on the island of Bermuda.
The drenched superstar performed songs spanning her entire career including, Destiny's Child's 'Survivor,' 'Independent Woman,' 'Say My Name,' and her solo hits 'Dangerously In Love,' 'Me, Myself and I,' 'Get Me Bodied' and 'Irreplaceable.'

Beyonce is preparing to release her new album on November 18th. She recently revealed that she has recorded over 70 songs the album.
She will also be starring in two upcoming films, "Cadillac Records" and "Obsessed". In Cadillac Records she plays famed blues singer Etta James. The film will be released on December 8th. Obsessed is a thriller and is due in theaters in January of 2009.
