Andre 3000 Confirms Solo Album, Opens New Movie This Weekend & Debuts Clothing Line

For Andrew 3000 rapping, acting and designing clothes is all in a day's work
It's now official both members of Outkast will be releasing solo albums soon. While Big Boi's album's "Sir Luscious Left Foot...Son of Chico Dusty" has been known for a while and the first single and video, Something's Gotta Give featuring Mary J. Blige has already been released, we were unaware that Andre 3000 was also preparing a solo CD.
He hasn't released a date or the title of the album but he has confirmed to Rolling Stone magazine that a solo CD is on the way.
“It should be dropping by the end of this year or early next year. I’ve pretty much been working with myself. I’ve never really been that big on collaboration," Benjamin said. “I have a concept, and all the soundscapes are already in my head, so I just have to figure out how to get there.”
Andre 3000 has also been busy building an impressive acting career lately. He's appeared in Semi-Pro, Four Brothers, Be Cool and an independent film with Charlize Theron, Battle in Seattle, will be hitting theaters today (9/19).
Meanwhile he just debuted his new clothing line yesterday at London's Fashion Week. André 3000 said his Benjamin Bixby fashion label celebrated a "passion for craftsmanship and individuality (that would) appeal to someone with an eclectic point of view and a sense of adventure.”
The collection is inspired by early American college football, integrating traditional collegiate style with a vintage-inspired 1930s athletic look.
From affordable polo shirts, tweed trousers, and oxford shirts to pricier hooded woollen duffle coats the collection is not prohibitively expensive. With a tailored look that deploys a mix of classic and refined fabrics, Benjamin Bixby pays homage to old-world craftsmanship.
Where most rapper's fashion lines usually consist of athletic street wear, Andre 3000’s label, true to his unique personality, is considerably more unusual, heralding the arrival of a worthy new designer to the world of male fashion.
Outkast fans will have to keep waiting for their highly anticipated reunion album but the pair recently collaborated with Raekwon on a song called "Royal Flush"for Big Boi's solo project. Listen to the song
