Webbie is free on a $25,000 bond, one felony dropped

As we reported earlier this week rapper Webbie, real name Webster Gradney, 23, was arrested on Sunday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi after leading police on a high-speed chase.  Police said Weebie led them on the chase after he refused to pull over for an alleged traffic violation on Interstate 59.  With the police in pursuit Webbie got into an accident and continued to elude capture by fleeing the scene of the accident.  He was finally apprehended after abandoning his car, a 2009 Charger, in a shopping mall and trying to escape in another vehicle.  

Webbie made his first appearance in front of a judge on Monday where his charges were lessened.  The felony aggravated assault with a motor vehicle charge was dropped however he still faces felony eluding and misdemeanor DUI and possession of marijuana charges.  Following the hearing the rapper was freed after posting a $25,000 bond.
