New music from Q-Tip - Gettin' Up

New video from the legendary Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest.  This is the lead off single from his new album, The Renaissance.  

The Renaissance is the latest effort from critically acclaimed rapper Q-Tip, leader of A Tribe Called Quest. The album is scheduled for release on November 4, 2008 through Universal.  The follow-up to 1999’s Amplified is a mix of summer jams, club bangers, and introspective songs, which combines live instrumentation and samples.  When asked to describe the sound of his new album by the Boston Globe in October 2007 Q-Tip said, "I definitely used my band. I know that in hip-hop the drums are the most important thing, so I paid particular attention to that, so that I don't lose any of the hip-hop sensibilities. It's got a lot of keyboards, guitars, and drums."

Guest appearances on the album include Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, J Dilla, Norah Jones, Madlib, Common, D'Angelo, Raphael Saadiq & Santogold.
