T.I. Breaks Record on His Way To Number 1, Bumping Rihanna


T.I. has broken the record for the largest jump on Billboard's Hot 100 singles bumping Rihanna to the number 2 spot.  His single "Whatever You Like" jumped 70 places in its third week on the charts.  The song is also number 1 on the Hot Digital Songs chart with 205,000 downloads.  


The former record holder was Maroon 5 with "Makes Me Wonder."  That record jumped 63 spots in March of 2007.  


Top 5 on the HOT 100 charts this week are:

1. T..I. -Whatever You Like

2. Rihanna - Disturbia

3. Chris Brown - Forever

4. Katy Perry - I Kissed a Girl

5. Kardinal Offishal feat. Akon - Dangerous


In related news we recently reported that T.I. broke the MySpace record for most friends by a Hip Hop artist.


"Whatever You Like" is the lead single from T.I. forthcoming album, Paper Trial, is stores September 30th.
