DJ Vlad strikes back and slaps Rick Ross with $4 million lawsuit.

Forget a beef song or mixtape, DJ Vlad, real name Vlad Lyubovny, is hitting him where it hurts and taking his beef with Rick Ross straight to court.  As we reported earlier this week, DJ Vlad was allegedly attacked by Rick Ross, real name William Leonard Roberts II, and his entourage during the Ozone awards last weekend.  The attack was the result of DJ Vlad asking Rick Ross about the allegations, that Ross has vehemently denied, that he was a corrections officer for the State of Florida in the early 90's.  The attack left Vlad with a gash under his eye that required seven stitches, three facial fractures, a corneal abrasion, and possible permanent nerve damage.  The lawsuit fled in New York Federal Court is seeking $2 million in punitive damages and $2 million in compensatory damages.

According to a statement released by Vlad's lawyer, Brian Caplan, the attack was deliberate, premeditated and the result of "calculated planning."  They say Rick Ross reached out to Vlad numerous times on the day of the attack and lured him into the attack, with the promise of an interview.  In the afternoon of the Ozone Awards Vlad received a text message that read , "Niggas will learn... trillaaaa," when Vlad responded by asking who it was he received a second message saying, "Ross ... I'm hearing things."  Later on Vlad received a call from Ross and he said "I've been hearing things about me on your website ... We gonna make a story ... We going to see each other ... We going to talk ... Where are you?"  Ross then set up a time and place for the meeting.  Ross arrived at the meeting, at the Houston Hilton, with four other men.  "Following a brief conversation between DJ Vlad and Ross in which Ross said, 'We got beef,' Ross accomplices, who had surrounded DJ Vlad while he spoke with Ross, proceeded to strike and beat DJ Vlad in Ross' presence and without any protests on Ross' part."  Vlad was left laying on the ground and "bleeding profusely" and as the assailants fled the scene one said. "Yeah motherf--ker, that's what you get!"

The attacked seems to be related to recent postings on DJ Vlad's website, VladTV.  The site has recently featured videos concerning Ross' past as a C.O. and the reactions and opinions of other artists, as well as the real Freeway Rick Ross.  The suit claims that that attack was orchestrated to "stifle (Vlad's) journalistic reporting and freedom of expression."  Rick Ross  sought to meet Vlad "for the purpose of obtaining retribution" for exposing Rick Ross as someone who has "painstakingly created his public persona to be that of a major drug dealer and gangster, (but is) in reality a former correctional officer."

Rick Ross has not commented on the attack or the lawsuit.

U411 Note: if you're going to attack someone you shouldn't implicate yourself and document it with text messages and secondly a "former big time drug dealer" should know this.
