Akon was scheduled to appear at the Fishkill Town County Court

Akon was due in Fishkill Town County Court today to face charges for throwing a kid off stage while on tour last year.  According to reports the teenager threw a pretzel at Akon, who then summoned him on to the stage and then body slammed him off the stage.  

Akon has been charged with second degree harassment, a violation and endangering the welfare of a minor and is facing a year and 15 days if convicted.  

The case has been postponed to September 3, 2008.
