Jacob the Jeweler is suing Hip Hop star, Wyclef Jean, claiming the rapper has failed to pay his company for $319,680 in jewelry.

Jacob & Co. Watches Inc., the company founded by Jacob Arabov, filed a suit against Wyclef on Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming that he has not paid for $319,680 worth of watches and jewelry, including a $225,000 Chopard watch and a $12,000 diamond Jesus head, bought from the company.

In Manhattan court papers, Arabov’s company claims that Wyclef, the hip-hop artist best known for his role as front man of the popular 90's rap group The Fugees, bought several items between March 2002 and January 2006 for $765,100, and the the 35-year-old musician still owes $319,680, despite "repeated demands for payment."

"Despite Jacob & Co.'s repeated demands for payment, to date, Jean has failed to pay off the outstanding balance," the lawsuit states.

Arabov is a hip-hop icon who also claims fame to providing watches and other jewelry to hip hop artists, National Basketball Association players, and other celebrities like Sir Elton John, Bono, and Rudy Giuliani in the United States.

Arabov was in June sentenced to 2 1/2 years in federal prison for falsifying records and lying to investigators of a multistate drug ring. He is known as the "king of bling" to customers who included Madonna, Elton John and Kanye West.
