Hip Hop Legend Launches "Classic Hip Hop Concert Series"

Easy A.D. of the legendary Cold Crush Brothers, and co-founder of Classic Hip Hop LLC, in association with The Donerson Research Group, Inc. are launching the "Classic Hip Hop Concert Series" in support of the Smithsonian's "Hip Hop Won't Stop" exhibit premier.

Adrian "Easy A.D." Harris and his business partner, Anthony "A-tone, the Hip Hop Historian" Hovington, a graduate of Duke University with a degree in African-American Studies, co-founded Classic Hip Hop L.L.C. in 2005 to preserve and promote the positive aspects of Hip Hop Culture. They have joined with Haywood Donerson III, CEO of the Donerson Research Group, Inc., a Washington, DC public relations firm and the Smithsonian Institution, which is scheduled to open the Hip Hop Won't Stop: the Beats, the Rhymes, the Life permanent exhibit in early 2009 at the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC.

The Classic Hip Hop Concert Series is an integral part of this initiative that will launch in the Nation's Capitol at the world famous Constitution Hall. The Series will promote the history and culture as well as the art of Hip Hop. Currently, while the fundraising takes place, the museum is assembling items for the permanent exhibit.

This initiative, starting with the Classic Hip Hop Concert Series, is family-oriented. "We want people to come out and to bring their sons and daughters to experience innovative Hip Hop music from Classic Hip Hop artists such as Doug E. Fresh, Whodini, Kool Mo Dee, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One and the Cold Crush Brothers, to name a few," said Easy A.D. He further states that, "Hip Hop has come a long way and with this concert series and exhibit opening, we hope to help bring it full circle."

The Classic Hip Hop Concert Series is slated to run from November 2008 through September 2009 with ten shows in nine different cities across the country. The first concert will be held at the Constitution Hall in Washington, DC on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. The Classic Hip Hop Concert Series is currently looking for a title sponsor that also exemplifies Classic Hip Hop values.
