Gucci Mane was arrested early Wednesday morning in Atlanta on charges of driving under the influence of drugs. possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  He has been released after posting bail.  

He was arrested after a routine traffic stop and taken to Henry County Jail in McDonough, Georgia.  According to reports he was arrested at 6:00 am and released after posting a $3,356 bond.

Gucci Mane became a star in 2005 when his album "Trap Star" and the hit single "So Icy."  He was also involved in a high profile beef with fellow Atlanta rapper, Young Jeezy.  This beef led to the death of another rapper, Henry Lee Clark III aka Pookie Loc, for which Gucci Mane was arrested but later acquitted of all charges.
