Lil Wayne's Celebrates With His Own Champagne and Movie

Lil Wayne is celebrating his platinum success with a new champagne deal. His new line of top shelf champagne, entitled HALO, will feature four variations. Halo Brut offers a golden blush with a lemon cream and roasted hazelnut flavor with a citrusy finish, while Halo Brut Vintage presents a sparkling amalgamation of almonds and lemon blossoms with a creamy consistency. The third champagne, Halo Rose, is blended with the delightful aromas of crushed raspberries, mint and pomegranate that will remind wine aficionados of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Halo Pinnacle is a Chardonnay laden with the texture of pure fruit, and the taste of lime-tree flowers and roasted hazelnuts is very distinguishable.
In a statement announcing the deal Lil Wayne said, “Champagne is for celebrating, and I’m ready to put my foot in a new door. There are so many different business opportunities, I want to take advantage of it all.”
Lil Wayne is also currently filming Hurricane Season, with Forrest Whitaker. HURRICANE SEASON, based on an upcoming documentary by Franklin Martin titled "Walking on Dead Fish," says The Hollywood Reporter. Mark Gordon and Martin are producing.
HURRICANE SEASON will tell the true story of the football team at East St. John High School, near New Orleans. The team struggled with integrating displaced students from surrounding high school teams, trying to help rebuild their community after Katrina while fighting to become champions on the field.
In a statement to AllHipHop, Lil Wayne said, "With all the tragedy that my home has suffered these last few years since Katrina, I was glad to see that someone wanted to show that through everything New Orleans also has some positive things going on,” and “I am also very happy that Hurricane Season is not only my first major part in a motion picture movie, but a movie about where I grew up.” Hurricane Season will hit theaters on Christmas Day, 2008.
